SENIOR POPULATION GROWS EVERY YEAR
36.3 million - The number of seniors who were age 65 and older in the United States on July 1, 2004.

Seniors 65+ comprised 12 percent of the total population in 2004.

Between 2003 and 2004, 351,000 people joined the 65+ age group.

86.7 million - Projected number of people who will be 65 or older in the year 2050.

In 2050, seniors age 65 and older will make up 21 percent of the total population.

147 percent - The projected percentage that the 65+ senior population will increase between 2000 and 2050.

The U.S. population as a whole is expected to increase by only 49 percent during same period.

Who Are We?
American Family Stewards is a premiere non-profit organization that connects families in life-stage transition to a community of distinguished service providers.  Through education, training, and evaluation, the organization accredits and maintains a network of professional, ethical service providers, known as Family Stewards, who will exemplify our standards and values as they assist in the comprehensive management and preservation of family resources. 

What is Family Stewardship?
With the Baby Boomers numbering 78 million, the majority of people in the United States are now over the age of 50; those 65 and older comprise the fastest growing segment of our population.  Consequently, there is an ever-increasing demand for family services that might include:
